Policy for Adoptions

Animals selected for adoption must be paid for in advance of pick up. Rabies shots will be given to all animals before they leave the shelter. The exception is young animals not yet old enough to receive the vaccine. The person adopting a young animals will be given a (Official Notice) NCGS 130A-185 stating that the animal must be vacinated at 4 months of age. A copy of the vacination must be given to the Health Department.
