Marriage License

• Applicants must be 18 years of age, have proof of age and know Social Security Number, and if previous marriage ended in divorce, proof of that divorce.
• License may be used immediately or any time within 60 days.
• No requirement for a physical examination or blood test.
• Fees in the amount of $50.00 must be paid in cash.
• Marriage license may be issued in any North Carolina county, and the marriage ceremony may be held in any North Carolina county with the license returned to the county it was issued.
• Applicants under 18 must have signature of parent with whom they have residence.
