Real Estate Appraisal

The Appraisal/Revaluation Department is responsible for appraising all real property in the county for tax purposes. The appraised value is 100% of market value as of January 1 of the last reappraisal year. Yadkin County is converting from an eight-year reappraisal cycle; a revaluation occurred in 1991 and again in 1999. The next revaluation will be effective January 1, 2005 and will be on a four-year cycle thereafter.
