Mission Statement:

Citizens of Yadkin County, working together, emphasizing preventative health practices to improve the quality of life and health status of all citizens of Yadkin County.

Healthy Carolinians is a community-based partnership to improve the health of North Carolinians. A local Healthy Carolinians task force is not a project, it is a process. To accomplish this process, Healthy Carolinians brings together community members, leaders and organizations to form a task force. Healthy Carolinians is based on the concept that community members are the most qualified to effectively prioritize the health and safety problems in their community and to plan and execute creative solutions to these problems.

To accomplish this goal we work through special programs, classes, a lending library, public speakers, community wide assessments and focus groups and also committees.
