Health: Maternal Health/Newborn Home Visiting Program |

The Maternal Health Program provides prenatal healthcare to Yadkin county residents who are planning to deliver at Forsyth Medical Center. Yadkin county Health Department accepts Medicaid. If you have no insurance, fees are based on household income and number of persons living in the home.
Services Available:
- Complete medical exams
- Laboratory testing
- Planned for delivery and Postpartum care
- Patient education
- Home visits as indicated
- Breast feeding instruction and support
- Maternity Care Coordinator
- Maternal Outreach Worker
Childbirth Classes and Parenting Classes
- Come to Childbirth or Parenting Classes at the Yadkin County Health Department and receive BABY BUCKS
- Classes meet the first four Wednesdays at 11:00 and at 1:00.
If you come to all four classes in the series you will receive additional baby bucks.
- Baby Bucks are to be used to purchase items for you new baby.
Items will be at the Health Department for you to purchase.
