Soil & Water Conservation
Responsibilities
The Yadkin Soil and Water Conservation District works with the Natural Resource Conservation Service to provide citizens of Yadkin County with technical and financial assistance, which is used to implement good, sound conservation practices.

Water Quality Programs include:
NC Agricultural Cost Share Program
Helps farmers to implement the best management practices on agricultural land in Yadkin County to improve water quality and overall health of the farm.

CCAP (Community Conservation Assistance Program)
Helps local citizens, businesses and schools to help address erosion problems on that property.

Water Quantity Programs include:
Ag WRAP (Agricultural Water Resources Assistance Program)
Helps install practices that will help provide water supply to a farm that has limited capacity.

The deadline for the FY 2017 enrollment has now passed.  However, you can sign up for our programs year round.  The cut off date for each year is the first week of September.
