Parks & Recreation

The Yadkin County Parks and Recreation Department was established in 1972 with the goal of providing activities, events, and facilities to meet the needs of the people in Yadkin County.

Today the Parks and Recreation Department has grown to include 4 unique parks and a blue-way with three river access points. Future planning for parks and trails continues to be a priority. Yadkin County Park News 

POOL IS OPEN:

Yadkin County Pool will be open Memorial weekend through Labor Day (May 29th - September 6th).  Admissions  $4 for county residents and $6 non-county residents.  Inquire about our Park Memberships! 

Hours of Operation: 

  • Mondays - Saturdays 11am - 5pm 
  • Sundays 1pm - 6pm

After August 15th we will only be open Saturdays and Sundays leading up to Labor Day.

Swim Lessons: 

Swimming Lessons will be taught on the following dates/times at the Yadkin County Pool

Children 4-12 years old:  All classes run Monday – Thursday for 2 weeks. 

Session 1: June 14th – 24th       10:00am - 10:45am 

Session 2: July 5th – 15th          10:00am - 10:45am

Session 3: July 26th – August 5th 5:15pm - 6:00pm

Each session is $30 per person for Yadkin County Residents and $40 per person for non-Yadkin County Residents.

Classes are separated by age. Classes are taught by certified lifeguards. There is a strict limit of 10 students per age group per session, so sign up today to ensure your spot!

Ballfields:

It is time to submit applications for the Yadkin County Park Ballfields for the January - June season. Anyone interested should submit an application provided in the link below to cpoplin@yadkinocuntync.gov by 1/29/2021.

Season Boat Passes for sale. These boat passes allow you unlimited boat launches from the time of purchase through June 30, 2022!

  • Yadkin County Resident Pricing $25 per vessel
  • Non-County Resident Pricing $45 per vessel

Vessel Rental Information

The last available time to rent vessels (Single, double, and fishing kayaks or Jon boats) at Yadkin Memorial Park is 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to closing. Rent is hourly and vessels are required to be off the water 30 minutes prior to closing.
