Parks & Recreation
The Yadkin County Parks and Recreation Department was established in 1972 with the goal of providing activities, events, and facilities to meet the needs of the people of Yadkin County.
Today the Parks and Recreation Department has grown to include 4 unique parks and a blueway with three river access points. Future planning for parks and trails continues to be a priority. Yadkin Memorial Park News
Yadkin Memorial Park will be closed 12/22/18 - 12/26/18 for the Christmas holiday. The park will re-open at 8:00 am on 12/27/2018.
The park will be closed to the public until 12:30 pm on the following days due to waterfowl hunting:
December: 1, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29
January: 2, 5, 12, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26
February: 2, 9 (youth hunt only)
We are now operating on our winter hours. We open at 8:00 am and close at 5:00 PM.
Season Boat Passes are now on sale at Yadkin Memorial Park!
- Yadkin County Resident Pricing $25 per vessel
- Non-County Resident Pricing $45 per vessel
These boat passes allow you unlimited boat launches from the time of purchase through June 30, 2019!
Vessel Rental Information
The last available time to rent vessels (kayaks or Jon boats) at Yadkin Memorial Park is 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to closing. Rent is hourly and vessels are required to be off the water 30 minutes prior to closing. Starting 11/4/18, no vessels will be rented after 3:30 PM.
