Parks and Recreation
The Yadkin County Parks and Recreation Department was established in 1972 to provide activities, events, and facilities to meet the needs of the people in Yadkin County.
Today, the Parks and Recreation Department has grown to include four unique parks and a blueway with three river access points. Future planning for parks and trails continues to be a priority.

Yadkin County Parks and Recreation and GIS departments teamed up to create a interactive map that all county citizens and visitors could use to locate a park nearby. Ballfield 1 at the Yadkin County Park is currently getting new outfield lighting installed. The new lighting project should be complete within the coming months.
