THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION AT THE YADKIN COUNTY DETENTION CENTER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
THIS IS ONLY PRECAUTIONARY DUE TO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF THE CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19).
The Yadkin County Detention Center is a maximum security holding facility. The Detention Center has the capability to house 72 male inmates and 29 female inmates. The detention center houses pretrial inmates and those serving a sentence up to two years. The number of inmates housed for 2018 were 1755. The current daily average population is 92 inmates.
The Detention Center provides food, medical care and housing in a secure environment. The Sheriff’s Office contracts with Trinity to provide food services for inmates. Medical care and screening of inmates is contracted with Southern Health Partners. For inmates needing medications, the medications must be preapproved and provided by our health care provider.
Personal items from outside are not accepted. Inmates have an opportunity to obtain personal items through the commissary vender.
Detention Center Visitations
Visitation is allowed at the Detention Center on Thursdays. There are two opportunities provided to visit on Thursday from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Each inmate receives one visitation per week.
All visitors are required to have photo identification before being admitted into the Detention Center. Any person under the age of sixteen (16) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Visitors must be on the visitor list approved by administration.
Mail will not be accepted at visitation.
The Center is a tobacco-free facility. Tobacco, cellular phones and any type of weapons are considered contraband and bringing those items into the facility or attempting to pass those items will result in a criminal charge.
Any person with any pending criminal charges will not be allowed into the Yadkin County Detention Center for visitation.

All inmate phone calls are made though Pay-Tel Communications. The link allows you to set up an account and add money to the account.

Commissary
The Yadkin County Detention Center allows inmates to set up a commissary account in order to purchase items through a commissary vendor. The Detention Center has partnered with Kimble’s as our Commissary Vendor.
Money can be placed on inmate accounts by utilizing the ATM Kiosk located in the lobby at the Detention Center. The lobby is open 24/7 for convenience.
Money can also be placed on inmate accounts by accessing JailATM.com, (For IT Support contact Kimble’s at 870-627-5476) which is a 24 hour service.
We no longer accept money orders.
