WIChealth.org
Do your nutrition education on the internet! It's easy! You can use any computer, tablet, or smart phone. There are lots of great recipes and tips on preparing healthy foods. It's convenient! You can do it any time and anywhere you have internet access. WIC participants that have used it really enjoy it.
WIChealth.org is a service provided to qualifying WIC participants that gives them the option of doing some nutrition education appointments online in place of meeting with a nutritionist in the WIC office. In most cases, the nutritionist will tell you at your re-certification or mid-certification visit whether you or your child is able to do your next nutrition education appointment online.
If you would like to try this option, but do not know if you qualify, please call your local WIC office so that they can let you know what options they have available to you, as not all WIC participants are able to participate in the online nutrition education service for various reasons. If you do meet the requirements that qualify you to do your nutrition education online, the WIC nutritionist will give you the information you will need to sign up and complete your WIChealth profile. Once you complete your nutrition education online, the WIC nutritionist will speak with you by the phone to confirm your food prescription and schedule your next WIC appointment. The nutritionist will then add your food benefits to your card and you will not have to come to the WIC office for that appointment.
