Yadkin County Emergency Services is working diligently to make sure that all citizens and those traveling through are safe from this major winter storm event. At this point I-77 is almost completely shut down and is impassable. We are still forecast to get an additional 4-5 inches of snow before the end of the storm sometime Monday. Please do not go out if at all possible the roads still have a large amount of snow and cannot be safely navigated.
