Hello, everyone! We wanted to share some important information about the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). This program, funded by the federal government, provides eligible households with a one-time payment to cover their heating bills.
Unfortunately, due to the recent Federal Government shutdown, our team at the Yadkin County Human Services Agency isn't able to accept LIEAP applications right now. This means we won't be opening the program on December 1st like we usually do.
We understand how important this assistance is, and we promise to keep you updated as soon as we learn more about when the funds will be available. Thank you for your patience, and take care!
