[ARCHIVED] Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils Administrative Assistant




The 23rd District Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils are accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant.  This position covers the JCPCs in Alleghany, Ashe, Wilkes and Yadkin counties with offices in Wilkes and Yadkin counties. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school, two-year college degree, or two years administrative assistant experience or related experience. Knowledge of office practices and procedures, ability to plan, organize and evaluate work; local operating system; work flow and procedures; follow oral and written instructions; computer skills, Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel), internet, email; ability to work with limited supervision; compose correspondence; communicate effectively in person and by telephone; transcribe material into correct form and use proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. 

The beginning hourly rate is $16.55 and the position averages 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Local Government Retirement is included as a benefit for this position and employment is through the County of Yadkin.  A valid NC drivers’ license and some travel is required.
