Planning
Yadkin County Planning is responsible for managing all matters relating to the physical development of land in rural Yadkin County. Specifically, Planning and Development oversees a number of community development activities as well as the administration and enforcement of many county development regulations, including subdivision and zoning administration, comprehensive planning, flood damage prevention, and watershed protection.
Organizations Served
Planning serves the Planning Board, Board of Adjustment, Watershed Review Board, Land Use Committee, and Technical Coordinating Committee for the Northwest Piedmont Rural Planning Organization. Planning staff also serves in presenting planning and development related issues to the Board of County Commissioners.
