Responsibilities
The Yadkin Soil and Water Conservation District (Yadkin SWCD) works with the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; Division of Soil and Water Conservation (SWCD) and the US Department of Agriculture; Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to provide citizens of Yadkin County with technical and financial assistance, which is used to implement good, sound conservation practices.
Water Quality Programs
NC Agriculture Cost Share Program (ACSP)
Helps farmers to implement best management practices on agricultural land in Yadkin County to improve water quality and the overall health of the farm.
Community Conservation Assistance Program (CCAP)
Helps local citizens, businesses, and schools in Yadkin County to address erosion problems on non-agricultural property.
Water Quantity Programs
NC Agricultural Water Resources Assistance Program (AgWRAP)
Helps farmers to implement best management practices on agricultural land in Yadkin County that address water supply difficulties.

No-Till Drill Rentals
The District offers Yadkin County citizens three no-till drills to rent - two 10-foot drills and one 7-foot drill (reservations required). The rental rate is $12 per acre, with a minimum of $100 for the 10-foot drills and $50 for the 7-foot drill.
