Education Contests
Annually, the NC Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (NCASWCD) hosts themed contests for school-aged children on the topic of soil and water conservation. Each district decides which contests they will offer locally to area students. District contest winners advance to the area competition and area contest winners advance to the state competition. Prizes vary.
Contests being offered for 2023/24
Poster Contest - fourth and fifth grade
Essay Contest - sixth, seventh, and eighth grade
Computer-Designed Slideshow - ninth through twelfth grade
Schools may submit up to four (4) entries per contest, per grade for consideration by the District.
The deadline for contest entry is Friday, February 2nd, 2024.
