Do we pay our water bills at the Yadkin SWCD office?

No - Contact the provider of your service - Boonville (336-367-7941), East Bend (336-699-8560), Jonesville (336-835-2250), Yadkinville (336-679-2184), or the Yadkin County Water Department (336-849-7575).

Does Yadkin SWCD perform perk tests or water tests for county residents?

No - Contact the Yadkin County Environmental Health Department at 336-849-7905.

Does Yadkin SWCD issue well permits?

No - Contact the Yadkin County Environmental Health Department at 336-849-7905.

Does Yadkin SWCD test soil?

No - Soil testing is done by the Agronomic Division of the NC Department of Agriculture.  Soil boxes and instructions are located on the front door of the Yadkin County Cooperative Extension Service at 2051 Agricultural Way, Yadkinville, NC.  The fee is $4 per box during December - March.  Testing is free from April - November.

  • Yadkin SWCD is not a regulatory agency.  We cannot force landowners to correct erosion issues or to address natural resource concerns.  If communication with the landowner does not solve the issue, contact the NC Department of Environmental Quality office at 336-776-9800 for assistance.
