Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP/DA)

Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP/DA) is a Medicaid Program that provides in-home services as a less costly alternative to nursing home care , for persons at risk of institutionalization. It is available to disabled adults who meet program requirements and prefer in-home care rather than nursing home care.

What Are Examples of What CAP Can Assist With?

CAP/DA Waiver Services include but are not limited to in-home aide services, Personal Emergency Response System, Home Mobility Aids and Respite. CAP/DA beneficiaries receive case management services also.
