Well and Water Protection Program

Yadkin County Environmental Health is Responsible for the permitting and inspection of drinking water wells as defined in G.S 87-85 by local health departments pursuant to G.S 87-97

The goal of the Well and Water Protection Program is to ensure the public of safe drinking water and protection of valuable groundwater supplies. This is accomplished through proper placement and construction of water supply wells.
